Suzy Kline was an elementary school teacher for 27 years and most of her books are based on the experiences she had while teaching. She has traveled all over the United States inspiring children to read and write. She has also taught Children's Literature at the University of Connecticut at Storrs.
Suzy was born in Berkeley, California. She always loved to write. Her favorite teacher at Marin Elementary School was Mr. Teague. He had creative writing every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and allowed everyone to choose their own topic. Suzy wrote a weekly chapter for her book, Mystery of the Missing Ink Blotter. After school, she loved playing at Terrace Park with friends, and in the summer, she loved going on camping trips.
